Hi Dr Jim! Congratulations and best wishes to you on your retirement! You believed in me and in Terraine when not too many others did. I've always enjoyed speaking with you, and I still remember a few trips with you... to Charleston, Norfolk, and a short list oral presentation in Columbia SC (we didn't win the one in SC, but it was still fun).

Jim,

I wish you the very best. It was a pleasure working with someone of your caliber and I will never forget the strengths, character and moral fiber which define you. Take care of your wife and continue to mentor a new generation of kids through your church. Again, thanks and have a great retirement.

Best wished on your retirement. Thank you for your support of the University of Memphis, Herff college of Engineering. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the Ensafe Professor. Many folks have asked me, "What is an Ensafe?", after seeing my business card and I take pride in telling them about the firm and your terrific leadership.

Enjoy your new home.

Dr. Speakman - congrats on your retirement! It was a great pleasure working with you and for EnSafe. Almost everywhere I go within the Navy world, your name comes up and always in a most positive way. I am now living and working in Little Rock, so I won't be able to make it today. Have a great day and enjoy your retirement.

Dr. Jim,

First of all, congratulations on a very successful career and I wish you happiness in your retirement. As my first "environmental" boss you taught me many things. I have shared some of these teachings with others. One of the things I remember most is something you taught me that your first boss taught you - "get their money before you give them their clothes".

On a more serious note, the one thing that I appreciated the most about you was how you conducted yourself. You grew your business, negotiated contracts, managed personnel, etc. without losing focus on your core beliefs. I have seen you when you were upset, but never mad. I never heard you curse anyone. I never say you stray from your beliefs to obtain work, mis-guide a client, or anything else to benefit you or the company. You maintained and exemplified your faith in God and have served as an example to others. You were a good Christian example to me. Unfortunately for me, it took me a few years to realize this. But the older I get the more I appreciate people such as yourself. I just wanted to let you know this and to thank you for it.

Take care and enjoy your retirement.

Bobby
