strangecandy.net seems to be having a DNS problem. Of the two registered name servers, ns3.keenspace.com [66.220.2.3] says that strangecandy.net and www.strangecandy.net are at 66.220.2.20, but ns4.keenspace.com [216.218.130.2] answers that those names do not exist.

Now I'm stuck wondering if there is more to this particular nightmare. If their joined nightmare does that mean it takes elements from all three, or does it appeal to something primal they all have? (IE A child's desire for attention.) Since time and space have no meaning in the mental world, I wonder if Eri's future daughter is them fused into one being after an infinite number of forevers. And they've shifted to this from Eri accepting truths of herself. (She's accepted her native heritage. But instead of the next mental form being a game she couldn't win, Eri is show a balanced version of her life after letting go of her childhood. What I find ineresing is that in the 'look at me' nightmare, the figment of Keiko's mother is actually showing EMOTION unlike the rest.

Do you still read these guest post and forum entries? Realistically, (which is rather odd to say all things considered), it'd say it's obvious that things are NOT as they appear to be! And 'cured' I somehow doubt is the right word. I think all he did was give the mental world a sample of his spiritual essence, and now knows how to properly deal with him. The explanation given by the other guy only makes sense in regards to why Eichi was able to fend off these mental assault (that he already knows and accepts his Id). The explanation given about him being to 'shield' them and 'protect' them from the mental world after they've already been assimilated didn't make a lick of sense since if they're already been absorbed, that means they're (yeah I know I keep saying this part) part of that world. The explanation given sounded like that world was just CONTROLLING them and he just needed to cut the puppet strings. But if their mental and spiritual essence has been pulled to an infinitely thin thread, made one with that world . . . Everything to me suggests the mental world has simply gotten smart and changed tactics.

I'm saving this week's to my computer and for more than the obvious reasons! I LOVE brainwashing/hypnosis/mental change that isn't simple 'point and zap.' Ones that lead you in, basically making you do it to yourself? THAT IS TRUE ART! This storyarch is by far my absolute favorite out of the entire series!

That's one way to cull the herd on an already overloaded cast. And ironically a twisted cruel and fitting way too. But why did we see the inner Id of only three of the travelers? What of the other two? Why were they left out? And here we see only three souls broken down into fine glass.

Another week, another comic page. Another week of me wondering if the world is now done with Petra for the moment or still has something else planned. I'd almost bet on Ellie ending up a mermaid given where she landed, but this world doesn't seem to play 'nice' by any stretch of the imagination.

So this particular pocket world is playing on Petra's fears? Or is just looking to traumatize her. Either way, I think it's safe to say given what happened to Keiko and Lycidia, this place isn't done with her yet. Will she end up one of the bird things? Only a little likely given they're just shadows of the 'dream world'. I just wonder what'll happen to assimilate her into it's context.

This is decidedly the most they've ever been assimilated into a world's setting before. Then again, given what this world is based on, I'm not surprised at the force absorbing them into the context being -overwhelmingly powerful-. I am also surprised that I am surprised at them being mentally changed for the first time by a setting: consider it's THIS setting. Now that they're separated and alone, I can see the rest being assimilated by the 'dreams' (if that's what they even are). I wonder if they'll need outside help to help them pull their psyches back to reality.

Very interesting new update to the comic. She was regressed in mind and body, eh? I wonder how it'd be like if in trying to fix her, the moments with her friends changes how she ends up being, and by being age progressed later, literally becomes a completely different person. Or, perhaps in trying to bring out the friend they knew from her, they split the one they knew with the new one. Both concepts have potential. But as with all these great comics you make, no idea for sure which direction you'll take. Eager to see more regardless.^^

I think this is my first guestbook signing -- I have to say, I don't read often, but pick up again once a month or so to get a few strips in all at once. But every time, I get a laugh. There's some kind of hilarity going on here that may not be for everyone, but always gets me in the funny bone. And I've been reading since 2003. I have a lot of love for what you've all been doing, and I hope the strip keeps going for years to come. It's silly, and keeps throwing out more subplots than I can count, but you've been following your characters since the start and it's somehow one of the most amazing accomplishments in webcomics for just that reason. Kudos! Mucho love, Longterm Fan.
