I took my RAE at the Blackwood club in the day and had the privilege to meet W0ORE, he presented my with my pass certificates and he signed a photograph for me also. He wrote, welcome Huw to a great fraternity best wishes Anthony England, still on the wall in the shack. Fond memories of all the members of the club and the brilliant rallies that took place. I am sorry to say my father Ernest Gratton GW4OCN former member of Oakdale radio club, morse teacher at the settlement I. Pontypool and donated his radio equipment to Oakdale Radio club a few years ago, passed away Tuesday aged 93yrs

Hi. Just exploring DMR-BrandMister links in the UK. Do you have a repeater with EchoLink on it too? I’m retired and planning a trip for my wife and I to Ireland and Scotland self guided for a month next year. Viewing web sites like yours as a long timeham radio operator first what is in the 60s. Hi All, I moved to Pontllanfraith in June. Just got my HF doublet up. I have noticed some bloke this morning snooping around here taking photo's of my house and aerial. I rang the council and discovered someone has complained. I am expecting a letter demanding I take it down. I never had any problems of this nature at my previous address in over 30 years. I am not impressed with Caerphilly Council and their intolerant attitude to amateur radio. Should I receive a letter or a visit demanding I take down my aerial I will sell my equipment and surrender my licence.

It was a great shock to hear of the passing of Steve GW4BLE, He was such a big part of the club and a friend, my thoughts are with his family . from Callsign GW8YPR. To all it might concern. Some of you may have known Eric Clayson GW4PQE. It is sad that I have to report Eric passed away Jan 2016. Some of the lads in Wales would have known him and spoken with him. Then one day and it has to be over 20 years ago he seemed to disappear overnight from the airwaves. I am still trying to piece together what happened. He died at a place called Harrold ( as spelt ) in Bedfordshire in a nursing home. I am almost 70 and I reckon I was in my forties when I had last seen him in a radio rally. I am still in Talgarth. If someone wants to email me they can. 73'S TO ALL
