Hello, I just wanted to say that you did an excellent job with that interview and I am glad that Teddy accepted to do it. I was just at his house 3 months prior to this interview and we had fun trying to revisit the past and he couldn't remember anything but only the wedding for our cousin which he was in and held the reception at his mansion. So, you know that was a while back. Too funny. Anyway, I went on to talk about todays music, how it isn't anything like yesterday's music from back in the day. As charming and suttle he was, he turned on the radio for us to listen to the oldies but goodies. I appreciated that, he did not have to do that. I wish I had known about this interview. I would have called him and told him how much I loved him. I believe in showing it, he knew it but it is also good to sometimes say it and I regret that. I was also at his house for his moms b-day party, did not get to say goodbye or get ny hug. But he is resting now, and "It don't hurt now". So, thanks again for doing the interview. I am going to miss my cousin,. but soooo many memories to cherish from the time I was 12, give or take. Please don't erase interview.

Teddy touched the lives of so many of us. No matter what one might be experiencing in their social life, Teddy had a song for you. It was as if, the lyrics seem to be written just for you...on time...and right for the moment.
For hooking-up he had the trilogy COME ON OVER TO MY PLACE, CLOSE THE DOOR, TURN OF THE LIGHT. and to be descrptive he sang "FEEL THE FIRE" In savoring the memories he continued with "I HOPE THAT WE CAN BE TOGETHER SOON" If you were braking up, "THE WHOLE TOWNS TALKING" and "LOVE TKO" I lived in the Disco Set of the 60-70 and 80s. I promoted parties with Live entertainers, BT-Express Kool & The Gang and countless others. But I have to say, The ladies favorite artist was TEDDY. We had so many request for the great love songs by male vocalist of that era, but Teddy was always amoung the top four, Teddy, Barry, Lionel and Issac. I was fortunate to have working for me at the Disco Parties, Two Young DJs K.C. THE PRINCE OF SOUL AND HURRICANE HERB. Between the two, they merged a blend of hot and heavy up-beat and the soulful love songs of which, THE TEDDY BEAR and BARRY were King. I remember TEDDY from past to present as a, Truly warm and gifted individual who gave his all to entertain us.

Maurice first Happy New Year to you and yours. I was so saddened to hear that we have lost another legend Teddy Pendergrass. I have been in this industry for more than ten years. And I must say that no matter how some felt about Teddy. Thinking that he may have been a bit self centered. He was just a strong man that wasn't afraid to put his toe in the water in life. This man gave his all within his career. And he never ever complained even after his accident.
Teddy would always greet you with a smile even if he was having a bad day. For all of his shows that I've attended in the past. I must say they all were No. 1 top performance shows. His music has proven to be timeless and I thank God for keeping him on this earth as long as he has he was a jewel. Thank you Maurice for sharing thee best interview with Teddy I've heard you covered all of the basis. We need this type of program to stand strong because the old school artist yet remain new school. It's just that the industry doesn't acknowledge this. What I mean by this is because these new artist continue to sample Teddy, Barry W, James B and many many more. And they feel they have created something new NOT SO. I will close now without taking up too much space here. Teddy will be forever missed and his memory loved. My condolences and prayers to his family. Take your well deserved rest Teddy. God bless you Maurice I pray that you keep giving us the music we crave.
